Issues and Challenges in Business Education and the Way Forward

Riphah School of Business & Management (RSBM) along-with the Superior Business School organized a 2nd Focus Group on Tuesday, 4th September, 2018 at The Superior College, University Campus Lahore. The Focus Group aimed at crafting a Way Forward for business education. Using a judgmental sampling technique, FMS of both the business schools invited 25 Deans/Directors/HODs/Incharges of different reputed business schools.

The theme for discussion was, “Issues and Challenges in Business Education and the Way Forward”. The preceding started with recitation of Holly Quran followed by a brief note by the Dean (FMS) Prof. Aman Ullah highlighting the need and significance of the topic. He said that in the wake of the fast changing technologies and their impact on every aspect of life requires rethinking of business education model in vogue. He said that to start the discussion on revisiting curriculum, teaching pedagogy   and research, it is important to decide as to what type of person we intend to develop as a whole and the skill set required for the fast changing and volatile economic world where the future is almost unpredictable in terms of nature and structure of job markets.
